Audio Transcription Process
Given the complex nature of language, the wide variety of idiom, metaphor and euphemism, and coupled with the varied clarity of audio recordings, audio transcription requires a highly experienced and literate staff to do the job well. To that end, Condor Data has built a well-versed team of transcribers who have worked on a wide variety of audio recordings. And beyond that, we work closely with our clients to achieve the required result: a highly accurate transcript.
Our process consists of 7 phases:
Project Development - We consult with the client regarding their particular requirements. The transcription process is explained. The project rules and expectations are discussed. And we give the client guidance on how to make a good recording, which is the first step in ensuring a good transcript.
First Pass Transcription - In the first pass, the entire recording is listened to and transcribed. The transcriber will mark any problem areas for further review. These problem areas may be communicated to the client for resolution.
Quality Control Pass - The entire recording is listened to a second time and the problem areas are addressed, taking into account feedback received from the client.
Final Review - Formatting, typing and spelling errors are checked. And any outstanding problem areas are finally resolved.
Project Report - A report is prepared giving an overview of the project and recommendations to improve the preparation of ensuing audios.
Delivery - The transcript is delivered along with the project report.
Exit Consultation - We discuss the project report with the client. And we continue to work with the client to improve the recording process and our transcriptions.
