Data Entry Service
Frequently Asked Questions

  • What kinds of data entry projects can you do?
  • We have done a wide variety of data entry projects through the years. Our projects include virtually anything involving the typed or handwritten word. Just a few examples are:
    • Mailing Lists of Names and Addresses
    • Special Event, Contestant and Promotions Forms
    • Questionnaires
    • Handwritten notes
    • Full Text Conversion and OCR cleanup
    • Litigation document bibliographic coding
  • How do you maintain quality and accuracy?
  • We begin with a very experienced staff of data entry operators who are dedicated to accuracy. Then, we have a variety of project specific quality control procedures that we have developed to review and correct their work. Our procedures have been tested, reevaluated and revised through the years to ensure a very high level of accuracy.
  • How much does data entry cost ?
  • Price may vary depending on the nature of the data. For example, handwritten data would cost more than typed data because it is harder to read and takes longer to input.
  • Another factor affecting price is the accuracy requirement. If your data requires near perfect accuracy, we may offer our double-pass and verify process which is priced higher than our first-pass and quality review process.
  • How do you bill?
  • For database work, we normally bill by the database record. We find this to be the best way for our clients to understand our pricing.
  • For full text data entry, we may bill by the character, word or page.
  • Billing by the hour is an option for selected projects that do not lend themselves to per record, character, word or page pricing.
  • In what formats can you deliver the data?
  • We deliver data in many formats including MS Excel, Access, and ASCII (with any delimiters you might request).
